Feel like getting a sneak peek at the second Masters Of The Universe Classics "The Powers Of Grayskull" Mini-Comic? Want a possible look at Terry Higuchi's 30th Anniversary character? Well read on... but turn away now if you don't like SPOILERS!!!
The art gathered here was found in three separate online locations. Hek-Tor from the He-Man.org forums first discovered these 3 inked pages from the second comic over at ebay...
...which lead to the uncovering of these 4 penciled pages at the artist Wellinton Alves' blog...
...followed by the finding of all 8 pages of the book in layout form in ebay's completed listings...
So what do these pages offer other than some AWESOME Preternian action? Well, the third page of the book gives a great groups shot of (I'm assuming) all the Preternian heroes... but included here are the 30th Anniversary characters of Spector and Sir Laser Lot as well. This means that the comic series is in all likelihood the vehicle Mattel is using to introduce these new characters into the MOTUC canon. Also included in the shot are 2 mystery characters-
Since the pages lack dialogue, it isn't possible to tell who these 2 characters are. The rough layout of this page differs slightly and does not include the "cyborg-esque" character... but the other character is named-
While "Beast Man" could just be a placeholder name Alves used for this shot, it is interesting to note that they used this moniker for the character. Is this a "Beast Man" from the past? Is this the Terry Higuchi character from the 30th line? Or is the mysterious "cyborg" Higuchi's character and was his absence from the layout an indicator of a late arrival of reference material for Alves? Maybe that character is just a slightly tweaked Extendar?
Only time will tell... but I absolutely can't wait to read this book!

The art is cool! Hope the story is as well!
ReplyDeleteI really think that the cyborg is the winning fan creation... all other 5 characters could be done a long time ago but the fan I believe it would be the last one...
